About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual and couples psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. As a psychology major at the University of Wisconsin, I began working as a behavior therapist with children on the autism spectrum. In that role, I saw how the whole family system was impacted by the child with autism and yearned to learn and understand more about relational dynamics and systems. I went on to get my masters in Social Work from New York University where I interned at the national institute for the psychotherapies. The enrichment and growth at that internship inspired me to continue postgraduate training and to complete the 4 year certificate in comprehensive psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. This has become the foundation for my work as a therapist in private practice-exploring and understanding how early relationships and experiences shape who we are and finding ways to reconstruct our future so as not to continue to repeat patterns from our past. I am an integrative and interactive therapist drawing from many schools of thought to provide the best individualized treatment for you.
